DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Aims
- Aims are very broad in nature.
- Aims are very close to those ideals which are not fully attainable.
- Nation, Society and Schools are fully responsible for attaining the aims.
- Aims cannot be evaluated easily.
- Long time duration is needed to attain the aims.
- Aims cover the whole educational system and whole curriculum.
- Aims include objectives.
- Aims try to answer the question of why a subject is taught.
Objectives
- Objectives are very narrow in nature.
- Objective are fully attainable.
- Mostly the teacher is responsible for attaining of objective.
- Objectives can be evaluated after the end of one period.
- Short time duration (usually 45 minutes) is needed to attained the objectives.
- Objectives cover a particulars topic to be taught in the classroom.
- Objectives are the part of aims.
- Objectives try to answer the question of what will be the achievement after teaching a topic in a period of class.
